Susana has long featured some of the most electric stuff of any prospect in baseball, one of only three ranked prospects with two pitches graded 70 or higher. The Padres signed him for $1.7 million in January 2022 an unusually large bonus for a teenage international pitching prospect—before he joined the Nationals later that summer in the blockbuster Juan Soto trade.
