Right-hander Miguel Sime Jr. takes the mound at this year's MLB Futures Game on Saturday
Sime Jr. worked 0.2 innings for the National League squad, striking out two of the five batters he faced. The hard-throwing right-hander allowed two hits, one earned run, and one walk while flashing the electric arm talent that has made him one of the Nationals' fastest-rising prospects.
Final Line: 0.2 IP | 2 H | 1 ER | 1 BB | 2 SO | 5 BF
Despite the run allowed, Sime Jr. demonstrated his ability to miss bats on one of baseball's biggest prospect stages, recording strikeouts against elite minor league competition.
